Icecream Dance – Inquiry – Room 2 Rotation

My friend Ariah and I totally nailed our Inquiry task in Room 2! For our rotation, we had to get together and create a short dance to a song we picked out. We chose the K-Pop jam “Ice Cream” because it’s super catchy and has a great vibe.

The whole job was to choreograph a short, fun routine that fits the music’s energy. We had a blast figuring out the moves and practicing the final performance! Check out our quick dance clip—we hope it looks as sweet as the song sounds!

Achy Breaky Heart Dance – Inquiry

This task was a super fun project where me and two friends created and filmed a quick dance video to the song “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus. The main goal was just to have a blast and nail the moves in under 20 seconds. We had a great time putting the little routine together and capturing all that energy on camera!

The hokulea

7,000 years ago the first really oceanic people came out of China and Taiwan. Then you get the politicians of this oceanic country founded by Hawaii in the north and New Zealand and Rapanui all the way in the east. Ten million square miles, bigger than Russia.

It was discovered by these extraordinary people. They were really the astronauts of our ancestors, they were one of the greatest explorers on the face of the earth. Unneeded by modern instruments these extraordinary explorers discovered and settled every liveable landmass in the pacific, relying solely on a complex understanding of the stars, the wind, the waves and other cues from nature. Guided by this traditional wisdom and perspective Hawaiians mastered the science of living sustainably on islands.

Paragraph 2: Hōkūle‘a – the original Hawaiian name – is a wa’a (traditional voyaging canoe) launched for the first time on March 8, 1975. It mimics the canoes that brought ancient Hawaiians to their archipelago over 600 years ago.

Through her voyages, Polynesian Voyaging Society’s legendary vessel has sparked a reawakening of Hawaiian culture, language, identity and revitalized voyaging and navigation traditions throughout the Pacific Ocean.

Conclusion : Two years after the first voyage to Tahiti in 1976, the stunning double-hulled sailing canoe tried to repeat the feat, but it capsized in stormy conditions off of Molokai.

Eddie Aikau, one of the crew members, decided to paddle his surfboard back to Hawaii to get help, but he was never seen again.
